South Dakota-The flat part

Well after powering through the midwest as fast as possible, we made a few pit stops at some tourist "hotspots". After spending a bug infested night at Fort Pierre National Grassland we made our way to Badlands National Park where we were greeted by some very happy, but hot Bighorn Sheep.

We continued through the Badlands enjoying the expansive views of the eroding landscape and large Prairie Dog colonies that line the road.

After finishing the scenic drive we made the quintessential stop at Walls Drug located in Wall, South Dakota. We indulged in a large caramel pecan cinnamon roll and a scoop of red raspberry ice cream. We walked through the entire store looking at all the knick knacks and overpriced merchandise they had to offer. We managed to escape with only two free stickers!

We are now on our way to Mount Rushmore/Black Hills to do some sight seeing and hopefully some rock climbing!
